Harting: Innovations at Han-Modular®

Harting's Han-Modular® series combines power, data and signal transmissions that can be inserted into heavy-duty industrial connectors via a holding frame. The portfolio not only offers extreme diversity, but is also constantly being further developed. At the same time, it convinces with its simple modular principle.

Harting meets the high dynamics in the market for energy storage systems, which requires more and more conditions, with the right solutions. Compared to the original 200A / 800V systems, the new 300 A module has a higher power density of up to 300A / 1200V. In addition, it is downward compatible with the proven 200 A variant and existing systems can be easily upgraded. Both the socket and the pin side are touch-proof.

Integration of 10 Gbit/s Ethernet in modular connectors

It is not only in the office sector that consumers are demanding higher transmission rates for data interfaces. For the industrial environment, Harting developed an M12 module that can be integrated into all common bus systems, such as Profibus, Profinet and CANbus. Two D- or X-coded connectors fit into a single module. This makes this solution not only more robust, but also more space-saving than the RJ45 alternative.

New Han® Shielded Power Modul

With this module, the shield connection succeeds directly at the 360° shield plate and offers safety for every application. The three-pole module including a PE contact is connected to the shielding over a large area and offers the perfect solution for typical three-phase loads. In addition, there are two signal contacts that could monitor temperatures, for example. Harting tested the application on frequency-controlled three-phase motors in the laboratory, proving great performance and shortened installation times.
